About Canine Einstein
Canine Einstein believes that in every dog, there is an Einstein. We are a force free dog training facility with a focus on enrichment and play.
All of our trainers and staff are trained and certified in fear free methods by Fear Free Pets and are trained heavily in topics like Canine Body language, enrichment, leash handling skills, CPR and canine development.
All of our trainers are also certified and trained in L.E.G.S., a revolutionary program by Kim Brophey. L.E.G.S. brings together the aspects of Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self to holistically treat the dog in front of you.
Our enrichment focused canine gym has a variety of experiences for each dog to explore and learn to problem solve; this increases confidence and helps reduce stress, anxiety and reactivity. We work with pet guardians to help define each pets natural needs and find ways to meet those needs.
Gym rentals are focused on enrichment, fun, games and play! We know that when you play with your dog, you learn so much about them and you build a stronger bond!
Meet our Dog Trainers
Dawn Jacques, CPDT-KA, L-FDM
“Owned by Dash”
While owning and operating our other business, Milwaukee Paws Pet Care, Dawn came to understand that every dog has their own wants and needs and their own way to communicate those needs to us. Most dog training or behavior issues are, in fact, a lack of understanding what our dogs are telling us they want and need.
As a Licensed Family Dog Mediator, Dawn is equipped to bring together for pet guardians the 4 LEGS of dogs. A dogs Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self all come together to shape who our dogs are, what needs they have and what they enjoy. Believing that knowledge is power, and when we know better, we do better, Dawn is focused on providing pet guardians with the knowledge and information needed to help them not only communicate more effectively with their dogs, but to also listen to what their dogs are communicating to them.
Dawn believes that every pet guardian wants what is best for their dog, but also realizes that living in an urban setting presents special challenges for dogs and their guardians. Teaching dogs to tolerate our urban settings, while helping them meet their natural canine needs is key to finding the balance needed to help our dogs be the best they can be as members of our family.
When not working at the dog training facility and gym, Dawn loves to spend time with her own dog, Dash, and family. She is a life long learner who is now working towards her certification in canine fitness.
Sylvie Armstrong, CPDT-KA
"Owned by Fry and Bodhi"
Sylvie has worked in shelters, vet hospitals, and training facilities for over a decade, and has learned something from every dog she’s cared for and worked with. She has a particular love for dogs who are anxious, fearful, or reactive; she finds it very rewarding to help these dogs and their human families learn to understand and communicate with each other.
She is very happy to be a trainer at the Canine Einstein, a dog training facility that has so much focus on canine enrichment and the mental health. of the dog.
Sylvie is certified through CCPDT and Fear Free Pet Training. She is always looking to grow her knowledge and skills, to be an effective trainer based in science and compassion. Sylvie is in the process of becoming a Licensed Family Dog Mediator as well.
At home, Sylvie has an eclectic family of “foster fail” dogs, a very patient cat, and a wonderful partner. When not at work, she enjoys walking in the woods with her own pups, reading science fiction, and painting.
