Supervised Dog Playgroups- Milwaukee, WI

Safe, supervised play — not just dogs left to sort it out

Playgroups give your dog real off-leash social time, supervised by trained staff who actually know what to watch for. We keep ratios low; no more than 5 dogs per staff member, and often better than that, so play stays safe, breaks happen before things get overwhelming, and every dog actually gets to be seen.

What We Offer

Group play, built around your dog's safety

Our adult dog playgroups run regularly and are where most of our playgroup clients spend their time. We also offer puppy playgroups (8 weeks–9 months) and small dog playgroups (under 25 lbs) that run based on demand, so if you're interested, reach out and we'll let you know about getting one going.

Playgroups are a good fit for you if:

Your dog is social and enjoys the company of other dogs

You want your dog to get real exercise and mental stimulation, not just a walk around the block

You like knowing trained eyes are on your dog the whole time, not a webcam and a hope

You want a consistent outlet for your dog's energy without it falling on your schedule

Every Session Includes

Puppy & Small Dog Playgroups

For puppies 8 weeks to 9 months, and small dogs under 25 lbs, we also offer dedicated playgroups sized and paced for them. These run based on interest. If you'd like your puppy or small dog in a group with dogs their own size and energy level, get in touch and we'll help get one scheduled.

Puppy playgroups

Puppies are learning how to play, and how to communicate with each other.  Puppy playgroups are a wonderful resource for your puppy to get exposure to other dogs in a safe environment.

Small dog playgroups

Small dogs have their own needs to stay safe in playgroups.  Dogs smaller than 25 pounds can be injured by well intentioned but larger dogs. Playing with similar sized dogs keeps our little ones safe.

Off-Leash Freedom

Fully enclosed and safe - your dog can truly run free while they play with other dogs of the same age, temperament and size.

Why Choose Us

Play that's actually supervised

Low staff ratio, always. No more than 5 dogs per staff member, often better, so your dog is never just one of a crowd.

Trained staff, not just dog-lovers. Our team knows how to read canine body language, step in early, and keep play safe and fun for all involved.

Breaks built in. Dogs get pulled for rest when they need it, not just when they're exhausted.

Real updates, if you want them. With transportation booked through Milwaukee Paws, you get a report card with photos. No guessing how the day went.

How It Works

Getting Started Is Simple

From booking to play time - here's exactly what to expect when you reserve your private canine gym session.

1 - Schedule an Assessment

Before your dog's first playgroup, we'll schedule a quick temperament assessment. This lets our staff get to know your dog's play style and make sure playgroup is a good fit for your dog and for the group.

2 - Book Your Playgroup & Submit Vaccination Records

Choose transportation through Milwaukee Paws or self drop-off through Canine Einstein. Prior to your dog's first visit, please send us up-to-date vaccination records for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (required for all dogs).

3 - Playgroup Day

Your dog joins supervised, off-leash play with trained staff watching the whole time.  Introductions are slow and  breaks worked in as needed.

4 - After Playgroup

If you booked transportation through Milwaukee Paws, you'll get a report card with photos from your dog's day. Self drop-off clients can always ask staff how the day went at pickup.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dog to staff ratio?

No more than 5 dogs per staff member, and we're often staffed well above that minimum. Safe play depends on real supervision, not just bodies in the room.

Does my dog need an assessment before joining?

Yes. Every dog completes a temperament assessment before their first playgroup so our staff can understand their play style and make sure they're a good match for the group.

What's the difference between the two playgroup options?

Booking through Milwaukee Paws ($50) includes transportation to and from playgroup plus a report card with photos. Booking through Canine Einstein ($30) is for clients who bring their dog themselves; it doesn't include transportation or a report card.

Do you offer puppy or small dog playgroups?

We do, for puppies 8 weeks–9 months and dogs under 25 lbs, but these groups run based on demand. Reach out and let us know you're interested, and we'll help get one scheduled.

Will my dog get breaks during playgroup?

Yes. Staff are watching for signs a dog needs a rest and will pull them for a break before they're overwhelmed or overtired.  Play should be fun, not exhausting.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

Up-to-date records for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella are required for all dogs before their first playgroup or assessment.
